It started with a ball
HomeBodyPet began with a chocolate Lab named OG and a problem every high-energy dog owner knows: the toy that was supposed to last a month lasted a weekend.
The fix turned out to be a herding ball — a toy too big to pick up, so the dog has to use their whole body to move it. Chase, push, herd. It works because it gives a working dog something to actually work at.
That became our first product, and it's still the one we're known for.
What we do, plainly
We don't manufacture. We're a small operation that finds good gear, works directly with a fulfillment partner, and ships it to you without a retail markup layered on top.
What we do do is choose carefully. Every product here got picked by hand and checked against the same questions: does it solve something real, does it hold up, and would we put it in front of our own dog?
We cut far more than we keep. Plenty of things looked fine in a catalogue and didn't survive a closer look — wrong size, wrong weight, wrong price for what you'd actually get. Those didn't make it onto the site.
Who this is for
Dogs who don't sit still. Border Collies, Aussies, heelers, and every mixed-breed with more engine than the average walk can burn off. Cats who need a job. And the people trying to keep a home livable while giving them one.
Straight answers
Shipping takes 7–15 business days and we say so upfront rather than burying it. If something arrives broken, we replace it without making you fight for it. If we don't know an answer, we'll tell you that too.
We're building something we want to still be running in ten years. That doesn't happen by being cute with customers.
